NDIS Core Supports

Assistance with Daily Life

Everyday tasks shouldn’t stand between you and the life you want. Our support workers help with personal care, household tasks and daily routines, in your home and at your pace, so you can live as independently as possible.

What is Assistance with Daily Life?

Assistance with Daily Life is NDIS funding for a helping hand with everyday tasks: personal care, meals and the household jobs that keep life running.

Support is built around your routine, not the other way around. Where building skills is one of your goals, our workers do things with you rather than for you, whether that’s learning to cook a new meal or getting confident with your morning routine.

What we can help with

  • Personal care such as showering, dressing and grooming.
  • Meal planning and preparation.
  • Household tasks like cleaning, laundry and light gardening.
  • Support with shopping, errands and appointments.
  • Building daily living skills and confidence over time.

Who is it for?

This support comes from the flexible Core budget of your plan, so most participants can use it. It suits anyone who wants reliable in-home help, whether you live alone, with family or in shared housing.

Where we provide it

We provide Assistance with Daily Life across Adelaide, including the northern suburbs, north east, CBD and inner north, western suburbs, southern suburbs and the Adelaide Hills. See the full list of areas we service.

Your daily living questions answered

How is this funded in my NDIS plan?
Toggle answer

These supports come from your Core budget, under “Assistance with Daily Life”. Core funding is flexible, so you can generally choose how much of it goes to in-home support versus other core supports like community access.

Can I keep the same support workers?
Toggle answer

Consistency is one of the things participants tell us matters most. We roster a small, stable team around you and introduce any new worker properly before they support you on their own.

Do you support people living in the family home?
Toggle answer

Yes. We support people in their own homes, in shared arrangements and in the family home, and we work in partnership with the family and informal supports already around you.

How do I get started with Authentic Care & Support Services?
Toggle answer

To get in touch with our friendly team you can contact us here or send an email to [email protected].

Why choose Authentic Care?

  • You pick your team. Meet your support worker for free before any shift starts, and if the fit isn’t right, we swap. No questions.
  • We answer our phone. Calls and emails returned within one business day, and our on call line is staffed every night of the year.
  • Local and independent. We’re a locally owned, registered NDIS provider based in Adelaide, not a national call centre.
  • Everyone stays in the loop. Weekly email updates keep you, your family and your coordinator on the same page.
